Last week I went to Liwan, the oldest part of Guangzhou where I have been many times before to shoot city pics. This is my favorite part of time just because everything is so old and you can really see a lot of the more traditional Chinese lifestyle here and it feels very authentic. And last week I got to actually visit one of the homes of this area, which was trully a great experience! I took like 200 pictures that day, but in the end I dont think I took nearly enough! But anyway, I am working on them at the moment, just wanted to give you a little sneak peak. More pics to come soon, just need some more time to edit. By the way, where is the time going? It is just dissapearing, and I feel that I don’t have enough time for anything these days! Not that I am complaining, I think it is great that Ihave so many things on my to-do list!
Editing these pictures I have used a gradient map layer in Photoshop, first making them black and white, then lowered the opacity of the layer just to get a tiny hint of color back in the pictures. Oh, and I have increased the contrast and clarity in raw-processing quite a bit to get better black and white shots.
